Milestones and other fun stuff!

Here are some pictures of the last couple of weeks!

Little Sloane loves it when we ask....

How big is Sloane....?

........So Big!!!

Grandpa Evans came to visit! Hooray!
It was too short as always but SOOO much fun!
(Sloane loves to wink right as a take a picture)

grumpy kids, but still fun picture!

"I am so happy Grandpa's here!"
seriously, she went right to him!

Linc sporting daddy's Michigan gear!

"Hey, someone is down on my level!!"

Cute picture, huh!

Such a goofball!!

Don't go Grandpa...we'll miss you!

The three biggest Milestones lately are:

Lincoln is fully potty-trained! He has been for a couple of months now so I'm a little late talking about it. I am not posting this boastfully I swear! I am just really excited that it is over because it was something I was really nervous about doing! I can take no credit. He really did do it on his own and in just a few days. He is amazing! He has only had 2 pee accidents and none of the other...knock on wood!

Lincoln officially gave up his binky! He did this on his own too right after he started potty-training. Not the timing I would have picked but he decided that he wanted his teeth to touch ( he had an open bite from the binky) so he handed Alan his binks and said he didn't want them anymore. Amazing.

We know where we are moving next year! Alan got accepted into a GPR (general practice residency) in Dallas, Texas. I know what you're thinking... Why Texas? I'm still not sure but we'll find out! He is really excited about it and I am really proud of him and all of his hard work. He will be one of 2 residents at this hospital. We are feeling really blessed right now.

Oh, one more milestone :)....Alan planned ahead this year and arranged for a babysitter (thanks Janel!!!) to come and watch the kids while I got a massage on my birthday! He was on rotation up north in Michigan, but he did that for me. I felt very special. Then, later that night Heidi, Lynnie and Rachel took me to dinner to celebrate! I have great friends and a great hubby!

Happy Halloween

My kids are great friends already and it makes me so happy.

waiting for the annual northwood parade to start

Getting a treat from the "scary guy"

Do you think they are tired? This is before we even started trick-or-treating!!

Me and Sloaner just before the parade!

Ward Party earlier today!
(check out those muscles...it's pretty funny when your bicep is bigger than your bum)

Pumpkins and more!

Happy Halloween!

Lincoln's pants kept falling down so he took them off!

Sexy legs!

My attempt at getting a cute picture of them together!

Not much luck with Dora on in the background!

Sloane 9 months!

She has some of the greatest facial expressions

She'll play with the same toy for a long time...something Lincoln still doesn't do.

At her nine month appointment she was 21 lbs 5 oz and almost 30 inches!
My big healthy girl!

This is as close as she has gotten to crawling....
Not too close and I'm fine with that (it's so much easier when they stay in one place)!

Lincoln and I carved a pumpkin the other night together.
Alan has been on rotation and then interviewing.

We made it to 3 cider mills this year.
I had hoped to get to more but the time passed too quickly.

Linc and Allie...still great friends.

This Cider Mill has pony rides
Jenny's Farm in Dexter

Cute Allie loving her pony ride
(Rachel feel free to take these and I have more if you want them)

These are our cute preschool kids. We are doing a co-op
teaching and it is working out great. This is all of them and little Sloane watching a little movie about farms.

The Guys!

A few weeks ago I was fiddling with JibJab and came across this one! I knew what I had to do. I was laughing so hard partially because it was late at night and partially because I know all of these guys! They are all Alan's good dental school buddies! Enjoy!

Mostly the Girls!

Jeanine in the sexy water dance!
Thanks Rachel for taking these pictures!

Battlefield Dance

Last weekend a few of the girls and I went to SYTYCD (So You Think You Can Dance for those non-fans)! It was awesome! I got to watch my girl crush Jeanine perform in person! She is the dancer I always wished I was. I Loved it! Thanks so much for a fun night girls! There's nothing better than great food, great company, and great entertainment!

This month is absolutely flying by. My baby girl is 8 1/2 months old now and she is getting big way too fast. She still sits nicely in one place but is getting more and more vocal and animated every day. Lincoln is extra talkative and is having fun with his sister as she gets bigger. He is very into Dora right now (yay) and doing arts and crafts. As you can tell from the last picture, he loves stickers too! They always end up on someone.

October has been SO cold. Definitely the coldest October we have experienced here in Michigan. Such a bummer because it has been too cold to go to the cider mills. I hope it warms up a little so we can do some of our favorite fall activities.

This one is for Megan. I LOVE this outfit!

Grand Haven and some random stuff

This is the lighthouse on the pier in Grand Haven, Michigan
It is so beautiful here. Grand Haven is on the west coast of Michigan.
We decided to take a little weekend trip before the weather got cold and we are so glad that we did.

This girl loves to snuggle! I love it!

Family photo...not great, but we're all in a picture!

The boardwalk just before sunset!

We walked along the beach, the boardwalk, went swimming (at the hotel, the Lake was too chilly), played on a 10,000 sq foot playground, ate great meals and just spent time together as a family! It was so fun.

I had to get a picture of Thomas the Train before we gave it away!
It was huge and taking up too much room.

Camping trip!
I didn't get very many pictures but we went with the Opdahl's and the Gardner's.
It was awesome!

Allie and Lincoln....best buddies!
Katelyn is in the picture too, the one sleeping!

Summer days...almost over!

This little girl LOVES to read books.
Such a change from Mr. Linc who still has an extremely short attention span.

Headband that he made at pre-school

Lincoln's new favorite thing to do...paint!

His beautiful works of art must be hung on our door immediately!

We have many different styles on our door

Showing off his backpack before heading to his first day of pre-school

Soooo excited!

Chillin' with Anna Miner (and her Mom and Dad) after the first Michigan game!

Linc and Anna reading books and hanging out

I thought this was such a pretty view.
I wish I were a great photographer and it would have been better.
It is so amazing here in the summertime.

Linc and daddy about to canoe down the Huron River.
Sloane was too little so we had to stay behind.

Happy about the canoeing

Even rainy days can be fun!

Sloane 7 months

Some of the cute neighborhood girls
Allie, Brittani, Sloane, and Kate

chillin' outside

Sweet little kids

I always get a bit sad as fall approaches because I know what is in store for us for the next 7 months. Winter....I'm clinging to every day of warmth left! We love Michigan summers.

Linc and Sloane Photoshoot

Our good friend Melanie Walton took these adorable pictures of our kids while we were in Utah! Thanks so much Melanie! She captured some really sweet moments.
Some of the ones I posted are normal color and some are in this cool "vintage" style!
